Research and editorial methodology

How SMM Africa distinguishes planning guides, original sources, estimates and measured results.

Sources and definitions

Use the original publisher for platform rules, payment documentation and published statistics. Record the source URL, publication date, reporting period, geography, unit and limitations. Separate people, accounts, advertising reach and transactions. Vendor claims remain attributed claims until independently substantiated.

Africa and global coverage

Give African and global evidence equal editorial attention. Compare the same metric and period across regions, disclose unavailable countries, and never substitute a country name into an unsupported statistical claim. Mobile-money activity is payment context, not a measure of SMM-panel demand.

Original data and examples

A page is a planning guide unless it explicitly publishes data with a sample, method and limitations. Calculators use the values supplied by the reader. Worked examples are labeled illustrative. No original representative SMM-market dataset or customer success study is currently published by these guides.

Updates and corrections

Check volatile claims against the current source before publication. Change a reviewed date only after checking the page. Corrections should identify the affected statement, original source and what changed. SMM Africa's content team receives correction requests through Contact us; no independent editorial review is implied.
