Start with the delivery method
A service described as promotion may mean advertising, creative work, distribution, or an artificial metric. Those methods are not equivalent. Ask how the service reaches viewers, what the seller reports, and whether the method complies with platform rules. If the explanation is too vague to evaluate, do not rely on the label.
YouTube's fake engagement policy prohibits artificial increases in metrics. It also warns that actions by someone hired to promote a channel can affect that channel. Traffic identified as artificial can be excluded, and violations can lead to enforcement. A completed supplier order does not override YouTube's assessment.
Distinguish views, subscribers, and watch time
A view concerns a video, a subscription concerns a channel, and watch time concerns viewing duration. One cannot be substituted for another. A listing's advertised duration does not establish that YouTube recognizes the activity as valid or that viewers found the video useful. Check the target type and definition before comparing any quoted cost.
Reject guaranteed monetization promises
The YouTube Partner Program eligibility guide explains that eligibility includes policy requirements and channel review. Reaching a displayed number does not guarantee acceptance. Use the Earn area of YouTube Studio and the current official guidance rather than a reseller's screenshot or an outdated threshold.
Different viewing sources and formats can be treated differently for eligibility. Do not equate a service's watch-hour label with qualifying public watch time. Ask what evidence supports a claim, and do not buy artificial engagement as a shortcut to approval.
Review a proposal before spending
- Identify the exact deliverable and its method, not only the promised count.
- Confirm whether the target is a channel, video, Short, or live stream.
- Check the billing unit, reporting, duration, and remedy terms.
- Separate a provider's report from YouTube Analytics and eligibility reporting.
- Do not give a seller your Google password, recovery information, or session access.
Use a more useful success measure
For a tutorial, returning viewers, useful questions, and the ability to solve the audience's problem matter more than an isolated count. For a business video, record relevant destination visits and enquiries separately. Creative improvements, clearer titles, and suitable distribution can be evaluated without assuming that a purchased metric represents an audience.
If you already have an unresolved service order, use its original ID and the order-status guide. A platform removing activity does not automatically establish eligibility for a seller's refund; review the recorded terms and ask support about the specific order.
